Capt. Dimitrios I. Flokas
Founder & CEO / Managing Director · London, UK

As Founder & CEO of NaviTrade Energy Ltd., Capt. Dimitrios I. Flokas leads a London-based boutique brokerage and trading office focused on the structured sourcing, negotiation and facilitation of refined petroleum products, crude oil grades, LPG/LNG and marine fuels across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.

His path into energy trading was not conventional. While most enter the sector through finance, sales or corporate trading desks, Capt. Dimitris came from the sea — from the bridge, the deck, the cargo plan and the reality of moving petroleum cargoes across the world's oceans.

As a Master Mariner, he spent years commanding large crude and product tankers, transporting substantial volumes of energy cargoes through complex maritime routes and terminal environments. He learned the petroleum chain not from theory, but from operational reality: cargo planning, stowage and stability, bunkering operations, pump rates, terminal procedures, vetting, Q&Q protocols, sampling, voyage performance and risk management.

This background enables him to bridge two disciplines that are often disconnected: maritime operational expertise and structured petroleum brokerage governance — combining seagoing command-level experience with trading discipline, institutional communication standards and compliance-oriented execution.

Mission
To bring real, executable petroleum transactions to the table — with structure, discipline, compliance and zero noise.

Mr. Ajibola Aderemi
Commercial & Operations Associate · Business Development · London, UK

Mr. Ajibola Aderemi brings a rigorous and operationally grounded perspective to NaviTrade Energy's commercial and documentation function. With a background anchored in physical trade operations at BP Trading & Shipping — one of the world's most demanding energy trading environments — he brings a depth of documentary and compliance experience that is directly applicable to NaviTrade's structured brokerage model.

At BP, he served as Document Administration Coordinator (Subject Matter Expert) for West African crude and refined product operations, where he led a remediation project achieving a 92% clearance rate on a 4,700-document backlog. He designed and deployed an EMEA-wide custom approval workflow that delivered a 67% reduction in processing time, directly preventing costly documentary demurrage — in some cases up to £50,000 per day — through proactive discrepancy identification and strict terminal compliance enforcement.

His hands-on expertise spans Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, ICPOs, Letters of Credit and Letters of Indemnity, with deep working knowledge of Incoterms 2020, FOB, TTT, and TTV transaction structures. He has coordinated physical documentation flows across multiple concurrent international trades, interfacing directly with operators, shippers, inspection companies, trade finance banks and in-country contacts across West African markets.

At NaviTrade Energy, Mr. Aderemi supports the commercial and operations desk as a Commercial & Operations Associate, conducting preliminary KYC/KYB checks, verifying trade documentation, advising on Incoterms application, and managing end-to-end deal documentation flow with audit-ready precision. His rare combination of physical trading documentation expertise, regulatory compliance discipline, and operational systems proficiency (SAP, OWB, Power BI, Advanced Excel) positions him as a strong operational asset within NaviTrade's lean, high-standards team.

Beyond the trading desk, Mr. Aderemi is a former UK National Champion in 400m Hurdles (Under-20, 2016) — a discipline that mirrors the qualities he brings to his professional work: precision, endurance, and the ability to perform under pressure at the highest level.
